Sarah Palin was interviewed by ABC she stated she believes she has enough experience from her experiences in Alaska. Also that,she never hesitated to accept the VP position, stating that her mission is reforming the government, and winning the war She stated that her close proximity to Russia counts as foreign policy experience, and that her experience with Oil and energy in Alaska, contributes to her foreign policy experience.
Sarah Palin admits never meeting a foreign head of state, stating that doesn't matter because what americans want is change. She says that the US is commited to Georgia, and she believes Russia's invasion of Georgia was unprovoked. Additionally, she wants Georgia and Ukraine allowed into NATO, even if that means we'd be drawn into war if Russia and Georgia came into future conflict.
Palin believes that Iran shouldn't be allowed to have nuclear weapons, and would accept any action Israel decided to take against Iran, stating we shouldn't second guess Israel.
Palin said the reason for 9-11 was because there are a small percentage of Muslims, that are evil, and don't have democracy.
Palin appeared not to know what the Bush Doctrine was, until it was pointed out that it was a policy of pre-emptive strikes, with which she ultimately agreed with. She stated that we must do whatever it takes in response to his question to whether we have the right to enter Pakistan against its will, repeating the line that we must have all options on the table, that has become so popular in some republican circles.
Opinion:I was not impressed with Palins answers, and what I perceived as trying to not directly answer simple questions. Most disturbing to me was her apparent lack of knowledge to what the Bush Doctrine was and her readiness to start a war with Russia over Georgia(possible consequence of entry into NATO), and her willingness to enter Pakistan against its wishes.
