Punitive Retroactive Law is as Unamerican as Fascism

E-mail Print PDF

Congress having been exposed in deleting portions of the AIG deal, that would have addressed bonuses, is now scrambling to "fix" the situation with an retroactive law, tailored to specifically target an unpopular group, with retroactive punitive tax.  It seems the deleted section of the AIG Deal caused more outrage and they are now forced to deal with it. However, the means of "dealing" with the bonus situation seems to be worse than the bonuses.

Now, those responsible for giving huge bank bailout out, are now trying to distract the populace they took the money from, but focusing on bonuses, which are really such a small amount compared to the huge amounts (trillions), siphoned off to the financials.

North Korea reassembles Nuclear Reactor

E-mail Print PDF

North Korea announced that it is reassembling its nuclear reactor, and says the reports that Kim Jong Il is sick are "nonsense".  The North Korean's characterized reports of Kim Jong IL being sick as an attempt to undermine North Korea. Rumors of Kim Jong IL being sick started after he was not present at this years anniversary celebration.

The North Korean's say the reason they are reassembling the nuclear reactor is because they have yet to be removed from the terrorism blacklist. The Bush administration stated that they would remain on the terrorism blacklist until some formal arrangement was made to verify the extent of North Koreas nuclear program.
